Justin A. Williams is an Associate Attorney in our Oakland office. He joined LFLM in 2020 and defends insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers in all areas of state workers’ compensation defense.
Mr. Williams spent the first near-decade of his career working in Northern California for a large statewide Workers’ Compensation defense firm where he served as both a partner and a managing attorney over the years. He then moved to Southern California and took on the challenge of building a new practice while also lending his efforts to grow a small firm into a statewide organization while managing and mentoring associate attorneys. Mr. Williams has since returned to Northern California.
Mr. William’s areas of practice have been specialized in serving large and/or self-insured employers, as well as public entities of all sizes with a focus on safety officer and school district claims. Mr. Williams has strong litigation skills including appellate experience, but also exhibits a creative ability for dispute resolution. In addition, he has extensive experience in, and affinity for, client management, continuing education and public speaking.
During college, Mr. Williams was a letterman on the varsity football team at the University of California, Berkeley. During law school at the University of California Hastings College of the Law, he served as a judicial clerk to both the Honorable Judge Martin Jenkins , then of the U.S. Federal District Court for the Northern District of California, and later for the Honorable Justice Joyce Kennard of the California Supreme Court.
