Stephen K. Nakata is the Managing Partner of our Los Angeles office. Mr. Nakata has over 25 years of experience representing employers and insurers against workers’ compensation claims, under both California Workers’ Compensation and Longshore Acts.

Prior to joining LFLM, Mr. Nakata counseled and defended employers regarding labor and employment matters involving harassment and discrimination in Federal and State courts. He has experience defending wage and hour matters before the California Labor Commissioner as well as in Superior Court. He has tried matters to verdict in Federal and State courts, before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board and before the Federal Office of Administrative Law Judges. Mr. Nakata has also appeared before California Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

    Stephen K. Nakata is the Managing Partner of our Los Angeles office. Mr. Nakata has over 25 years of experience representing employers and insurers against workers’ compensation claims, under both California Workers’ Compensation and Longshore Acts.
