  • Overview

    Tracy Sturtevant is an Associate Attorney in our Oakland office. Prior to joining LFLM in 2018, she worked as a partner in two large workers’ compensation defense firms.  She continues to represent insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers in all areas of state workers’ compensation law.

    Ms. Sturtevant has over thirty years of workers’ compensation practice experience.  She has spoken at and coordinated conferences and workshops, published articles in workers’ compensation publications, and given a multitude of training talks and presentations to carriers, TPAs, employers, and brokers.  She received her law degree from UCLA School of Law, and earned her undergraduate degree in History from Cal State Northridge. Ms. Sturtevant began her legal career in Los Angeles as an applicant’s attorney, and shortly thereafter switched her focus to representing employers, carriers and TPAs in Workers’ Compensation matters, including Serious & Willful and 132a Petitions.

    Mid-career, Ms. Sturtevant took a five-year sabbatical and lived in Paris, Berlin and Montreal, before returning to California to resume defense work in the San Francisco Bay area.

    Ms. Sturtevant has served on the Board of the Executive Committee of the California State Bar Workers’ Compensation section.

    Ms. Sturtevant is often invited to share her expertise as a speaker on Workers’ Compensation issues for carriers and TPAs and at educational conferences for employers. She enjoys public speaking as well as one-on-one mentoring of younger attorneys.  Her speaking engagements have included:
