Stanley R. Escalante is an Associate Attorney in our Orange County office. He first joined LFLM in 2014-2015 and re-joined the firm in 2022. Mr. Escalante represents insurance carriers, third-party administrators and self-insured employers in all areas of state workers’ compensation law. In addition, Mr. Escalante brings over 25 years’ experience in the areas of Subrogation; Employment Law; Construction Law; Real Estate Law and Civil Litigation, with multiple civil jury trials to verdict.
Mr. Escalante graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Southern California in 1989. He went on to receive his law degree from the USC Law School in 1996 where he received the American Jurisprudence Awards in Real Estate Transactions (Dissertation Unit), Criminal Law and Gender Discrimination. While at USC, he was a member of the prestigious Hale Moot Court Honors Program and on the Southern California Review of Law and Women’s Studies.
Mr. Escalante is a member of the Construction and Real Estate Sections of the Orange County (CA) Bar Association, as well as the Los Angeles County (CA), Clark County (NV) and the American Bar Association. He is also a member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute.
In addition to all California and Nevada state courts, Mr. Escalante is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern, Central, Eastern and Southern Districts of California and the District of Nevada; the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals; and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Mr. Escalante has taken and defended hundreds of depositions in the States of California and Nevada, participated in hundreds of Mediations in the States of California and Nevada, arbitrated numerous cases and tried cases in both California and Nevada (including complex, multi-million dollar litigation).
Mr. Escalante also served as an Adjunct Professor at the Western State University College of Law, where he taught a course in Professional Skills.
