Manuel Ignacio is an Associate Attorney in our San Francisco office. He joined LFLM in 2018 and represents insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers in all areas of state workers’ compensation defense.
Mr. Ignacio brings a diverse background to LFLM, including debt collection, labor and employment defense, class action litigation and wage and hour law. In addition to workers’ compensation law, Mr. Ignacio has experience defending employers in wage and hour class actions, discrimination and harassment lawsuits in State and Federal Court and in alternative dispute resolution.
Mr. Ignacio’s workers’ compensation practice is informed by a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of labor and employment law compliance. This includes experience defending employers before administrative agencies including the Agricultural Labor Relations Board, the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Division of Occupational Safety and Health, and the Labor Commissioner. He has successfully obtained withdrawals, reclassifications and penalty reductions of Cal/OSHA citations, dismissals of unfair labor practice complaints and findings of no violation by the Labor Commissioner and the DFEH.
Mr. Ignacio earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Hawaii at Hilo and his Juris Doctor, with distinction, from San Joaquin College of Law in Clovis, California.
