Craig J. Frilot

Mr. Frilot received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from California State University Long Beach in 1978, and his JD from Western State University College of Law in 1983. He has worked as a Workers' Compensation defense attorney since 2004, joining Laughlin, Falbo, Levy & Moresi in 2011. During that time he has had extensive experience handling CIGA matters and sports injury cases. Prior to 2004, he worked as a civil defense attorney.

Lorna Garcia

Ms. Garcia received her BS, and graduated Magna Cum Laude, from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont in May 2002. She received her JD from Golden Gate University in San Francisco in May 2005 and is now licensed to practice under the California State Bar. Ms. Garcia currently practices Workers' Compensation Defense with the firm.

Ms. Garcia is a native of the Bay Area, where she currently lives with her husband and son. She is also currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Filipino Bar Association.

Camille Y. Gartrell

Ms. Gartrell received her BS from the University of the Redlands in 2000 and her JD from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2003. She practices Workers’ Compensation Defense with the firm.

Ms. Gartrell is a native of Los Angeles, California who enjoys international travel having spent time throughout Europe, Asia, South America and the Caribbean. Ms. Gartrell spent a brief stint in Osaka, Japan where she taught English to adult professionals.

Dottie Ghanbarian

Ms. Ghanbarian received her B.A. from U.C. Berkeley and her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2006. While in law school, Ms. Ghanbarian served as a Judicial Extern for the United States District Court in Central California, taught at-risk high school students legal classes and worked as a law student representative at George and Katherine Alexander's employment law center in San Jose. She also worked as a summer associate at a mid-sized California law firm on civil matters.

Prior to the practice of law, Ms. Ghanbarian worked as a director of business development and workforce consultant at a Fortune 300 corporation.

Ms. Ghanbarian is admitted to the State Bar of California.  She practices Workers' Compensation Defense with the firm.

Jameka M. Gilford

Ms. Gilford received her BA, Cum Laude, from Morris Brown College and her JD from Whittier Law School. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2005. She practices Workers’ Compensation Defense with the firm although she has prior experience in the areas of Family, Immigration, Employment, Criminal and Personal Injury Law.

Rockford Hearn

Mr. Hearn received his BA in Political Science from the University of California San Diego and his JD from Santa Clara University School of Law. Mr. Hearn represents employers and insurance carriers in matters arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act and its extensions, including the Defense Base Act.

Heidi K. Hengel

Ms. Hengel received her BA degree in Political Science and a certificate in Women's Studies from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 2005. She received her JD from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco in 2008. She graduated with honors and received the Outstanding Student Award of her graduating class. She was admitted to the California State Bar in December 2008.

In 2009, she was chosen as a Rising Star Attorney in Super Lawyer Magazine. Prior to working at Laughlin, Falbo, Levy & Moresi, she worked in the areas of criminal defense, family law, and civil litigation in San Francisco and San Jose. She is eligible to practice law before all state and federal courts in California.

David W. Hughes

Mr. Hughes received his BS from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1975 and his JD from the University of the Pacific – McGeorge School of Law in 1979. His practice involves civil litigation, emphasizing subrogation, exclusive remedy defense, insurance coverage and defense, and general/special employment issues.

Mr. Hughes is a huge baseball fan and invites anyone interested to contact him and request a copy of his essay "Baseball and the Exclusive Remedy Rule".

Matthew D. Hurlimann

Mr. Hurlimann received his BS from California State Polytechnic University - Pomona in 1992 and his JD from the University of California - Hastings College of Law in 2001. He is certified as a Workers' Compensation Specialist by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization.

Mr. Hurlimann authored Respondents' brief in the case of Esquivel v. WCAB et al., (2009) 178 Cal. App. 4th 330 and successfully argued before the Court of Appeal that employers' liability for travel to treatment is limited to a reasonable distance, within a reasonable geographic area.

Prior to his law career Mr. Hurlimann was an adjunct professor at the Universidad de Monterey in Mexico. In San Diego Mr. Hurlimann can be found racing sailboats in his spare time.

Josh C. Hutton

Mr. Hutton's litigation experience is diverse and has included handling commercial construction, personal injury, maritime, government contracts, and workers' compensation matters while practicing law in Southern California and Denver, Colorado. Mr. Hutton has experience in a wide variety of tribunals ranging from federal district court to state administrative courts. Mr. Hutton's current practice focuses on general maritime law, insurance defense, and state and federal workers' compensation acts, including Longshore and Harbor Workers' Comepnsation Act and the Defense Base Act.

Mr. Hutton graduated from West Virginia University in 1999 with a BS degree in Finance and then attended West Virginia University School of Law where he received his JD in 2002. While in law school, Mr. Hutton received CALI Awards in Anti-Trust and Intellectual Property Law. Mr. Hutton is licensed to practice law in California and Colorado.

Aside from being involved with the California, San Diego and Colorado Bar Associations, Mr. Hutton is a member of the American Bar Association where he serves as the Alternative Dispute Resolution subcommittee co-chair.

Amber Ingels

Ms. Ingels graduated from UC Santa Barbara with Honors and a Distinction in the Major in Comparative Literature in 2002. She then received her Master of Arts with Merit in European and Comparative Literary Studies from the University of Kent in Canterbury, England in 2004. Her law degree is from the USF School of Law, graduating in December 2010. Her writing has been acknowledged with awards of Best Brief in her Moot Court group and the CALI Award for her Information Privacy research paper. She was admitted to the California State Bar in May 2011 and practices state Workers' Compensation defense. In her spare time she is a big literature reader and enjoys cycling and yoga.

Eric V. Jackson

Mr. Jackson practices in the firm's Fresno office.  He received his BA degree in Legal Studies from State University of New York at Buffalo in May 1995 and his Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University School of Law in in San Francisco in May 1999.

Mr. Jackson began practicing in the field of workers' compensation in August 2000 and has appeared before almost all Northern California boards.

During law school he was a bar certified intern working in the San Francisco District Attoroney's office Gang Unit and Domestic Violence Unit.  Mr. Jackson is a member of the California Bar.

Maryam Jalali

Ms. Jalali received her BA degree from California State University - Fullerton in 1997 and her JD from Western State University School of Law in 2001. She practices Workers' Compensation Defense with the firm.

Ms. Jalali began her workers' compensation career as an applicant's attorney until 2006 when she switched to the defense side. She has been with LFLM since 2007 and is active in the firm's marketing efforts.
